The Al Emarat TV broadcast will also include the panel discussion that was held at the Ramadan Lecture Series, moderated by Yasser Al Mansouri and featuring UAE soldiers who have served in Afghanistan and a representative of the documentary production team.
The documentary provides a behind-the-scenes look into the work of the UAE Armed Forces in Afghanistan and honors the brave individuals fulfilling these important duties on behalf of their country.

The film demonstrates how the UAE Forces must rely on their courage, training, and most importantly each other, in order to carry out this important work in the most hostile and challenging of circumstances.

The UAE’s policy to provide support to Afghanistan includes healthcare and education projects, such as the construction of clinics and schools; and developing sufficient community infrastructure, such as the provision of mosques, roads, schools and drinking wells.

Since 2003, the UAE’s presence as part of an international coalition in Afghanistan has helped maintain security to ensure that humanitarian projects are not undermined by criminal forces that seek to disrupt the provision of aid.

“Mission: Winds of Goodness” is the second in a series of documentaries about the work of the UAE Armed Forces. In June 2010, “Desert Falcons” told the story of an inspirational group of Emirati pilots and maintenance officers from the UAE Air Force and Air Defence as they represented their country for the first time at “Red Flag” in the United States, the world's most challenging aerial combat exercise.
